Porque os primos do Barreiro eram maiores, embora de outra família até há pouco.&lt;br /&gt;EBORENSE alentejano de nome a perpetuar o sistema de nomencaltura da antiga Parceria dos Vapores Lisbonenses que o mandou construir em Viana do Castelo...&lt;br /&gt;EBORENSE minhoto de coração via das suas origens vianenses.&lt;br /&gt;Foi há pouco lançado um concurso para se proceder à encomenda de dois ferries destinados a substituir o EBORENSE e o seu irmão ALENTEJENSE, que com o primeiro partilha as travessias entre Cacilhas e Belém.&lt;br /&gt;Entretanto em Agosto os velhos ferries deverão voltar ao Cais do Sodré, onde está a ser ampliado o terminal fluvial.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:78%;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold; font-style: italic; color: rgb(255, 102, 0);"&gt;Text and images copyright L.M.Correia. The EBORENSE is now the oldest ship in the fleet of Transtejo. She was built in 1954 by Estaleiros Navais de Viana do Castelo for the Parceria dos Vapores Lisbonenses. The former HADAG ferry was purchased by TRANSTEJO in 1977. She was sold to be converted to a cruise ship to operate in the Algarve but it seems the project never went ahead...
